KELLEY E. HOPKINS
Volunteer Board Member

Kelley is a native of Thomson, Georgia, and  graduated  from Briarwood Academy there with honors,  followed by four years at the University of Georgia.   She graduated with a Bachelor  of Science degree , in Family and Consumer Sciences.   She has held positions as Program and Events Director at Morningside Assisted Living,  Adult Daycare Coordinator at the Homeplace Adult Daycare, Inc., along with many Volunteer positions over the years.   Kelley is currently Volunteer Coordinator for Regency Hospice in Augusta, GA.

She was awarded Volunteer Coordinator of the Year in 2015.  She has been a Guest Speaker for the PCH Conference led by Georgia’s Ombudsman.  She has six years of service in the Geriatric field.

Kelley currently volunteers with When HELP Can’t Wait in several capacities, and perhaps the most important area is delivering items to our outlying nursing homes on a regular basis.

Kelley’s education and prior work assignments give her a great understanding of the nursing home residents we serve.  Her youth, and out-going personality makes her a real asset to our Board as well.   She has a real passion for helping others and being a support system for families in need.  We are extremely pleased to welcome her to our team at When HELP Can’t Wait.
