When HELP Can't Wait exists to supply very current needs for the comfort and convenience of nursing home residents that cannot be readily funded by the facility where they reside. With Health care costs and minimum wage rising, these facilities are stretched to fund the regulated needs. "Quality of Life" items are simply the last to be funded as a result. The average stay in a long term facility has dropped from 3 years to 2.5. The target population are all at/or below the poverty level. Today's residents simply Cannot Wait for Funding - We Must Act NOW!!
Thanks to all our friends and volunteers who shopped our "Women's Boutique" on Saturday, the 28th. It was successful and enjoyable at the same time. Ladies went home with Christmas gifts, new clothes and lots of purses!
It's wonderful to have fun, to see friends and know that all proceeds will benefit our Nursing Home residents. Thanks CSRA! A Special Thanks to the loyal volunteers whose hard work made it all possible.

We now have a display case inside our lobby with our 'upscale yard sale' items for sale. It's our 'MALL IN THE HALL'. Stop in and see us, shop for that rare item and contribute to our residents at the same time. All proceeds go to WHCW. We're specializing in costume jewelry - antique and otherwise. Our selection is constantly changing so come see us often.

Lori Greenhill has abruptly resigned as Executive Director of WHCW and is no longer associated with us in any capacity. This has in no way affected our operation and it is business as usual at WHCW. We are open the same hours to receive your donations. We appreciate all our wonderful donors and the support of the community. Look for the announcement of our upcoming Barbeque Dinner/Silent Auction coming up soon!!

WALGREEN's does it again! Lots of chocolates donated and distributed to our residents who love their sweet treats - not too much, but just a taste to remember. Their generosity gives much pleasure to so many. Imagine never walking to the store for a candy bar again - Walgreens' helps us take the candy bar to them = confined to a nursing home, a chocolate bar helps them relive a happier time.

Our website is growing with us! Thanks to the efforts of Splice Media, we have been able to revamp our website. We rely heavily on our website as a resource for gaining volunteers and receiving donations that help us meet the needs of nursing home residents in the CSRA area. We are very excited about the changes we have made to our online home, and we hope you enjoy our new website.
