JANET STEWART
Volunteer Board Member

Janet grew up in Macon, Ga, and moved to Augusta in 1992 after living 20 years in Reidsville, GA.  She has a degree in Family & Consumer Sciences Education from Georgia Southern University (1985) and completed her Master’s degree from the University of Georgia in 1994.  She taught at Reidsville High School the first 7 years and then retired from Riverside Middle School in Evans in 2007.  She is married to Doyle Stewart, retired state regional director of Vocational Rehabilitation.  She has two grown children and 4 grandchildren.

Janet is active in her church at Trinity on the Hill UMCand also volunteers at the Heritage Academy in Augusta.  Janet has been a regular volunteer with WHCW for the past two years and also has helped with all Fund Raising activities possible.  

We are very pleased to add yet another position to her talents as she joins our very active Board.
